Conger & Elsea, Inc. celebrated twenty-five years (1982-2007)
of providing unparalleled high quality service to the industry.
In many ways, it seems like only yesterday that we opened the
office in Woodstock, GA to provide root cause analysis and incident
investigation services to our clients. At the time, the term
"root cause analysis" was not yet a part of the lexicon.
But, here we are. We want to thank you.
You and your organization have always been supportive of our
efforts. Through all our years of business together, we have
come to view you as a colleague and friend as much as a client.
The training that we have conducted for you has always been well
received. Our investigation support and other consulting services
have not always provided you with "good news"; it's
the nature of the work, but you have always known that you could
rely on us for our honesty and integrity.
Much has changed through the years. In the beginning, almost
none of the organizations with which we worked had systematic
programs or processes in place for conducting cause evaluations.
Systematic and formal root cause evaluations were rarely recognized
as an integral part of business operations. Now, it would be
difficult to find an organization in any industry that does not
have some type of process in place. More than 200 client organizations
across the world have adopted our process in whole or in part
for cause analysis and incident investigation or safety behavior
and performance improvement. Eight US federal agencies, government
agencies in countries around the globe, and the International
Atomic Energy Agency are all using the Conger & Elsea, Inc.
process or a derivative that we developed with them. Over the
years, we have learned from you as improvements were made. More
than anything else, it was the challenge of searching for continuous
improvement that has kept us at the leading edge in this facet
of the industry.
We are quite proud of the fact that we were there for you
first. We also take pride in the number of other organizations
that came after us, many using approaches derived from our original
process. There has always been enough room in the market place
for people with good ideas. We've all gotten better because of
it.
We're looking forward to continuing to provide the same high
quality service to you in the future. You've come to rely on
us for that and we intend to continue to deliver. Please let
